Once I decided to finally give in to your pleas for a dog, I began my search. This was months ago and that isn’t the slightest exaggeration. I’d gotten it into my mind that once I came across the perfect dog for you, for us, that I would just
know. At times, I was exhausted… well, as exhausted as you can be looking at pictures of puppies and dogs, but it was starting to feel like I wasn't going to find the one. Then, by chance, I came across Nieve.
Nieve was incredibly shy around me at first and I was told it’s because she’s nervous around men that she’s not familiar with, which makes me not want to even think about what could’ve happened to her before they rescued her. What I do know is that she was found at six months old wandering the streets of Romania before being picked up and taken into foster care. She was covered in sores and had succumbed to mange because of her poor conditions. Though, thanks to the rescue center, she is now fully recovered and only requires allergy medicine.
At just over two years old, she’s not technically a puppy any longer but she still is full of energy and spunk. On top of her unbelievably sweet temperament, once she got used to me, she was very affectionate and loving and damn near obsessed with being pet and cuddled. Essentially, she’s you in dog form. That was all it took, I was done for and attached and I knew she was perfect for us so I hope you feel the same way once you meet her. She’s waiting for us at my parent’s house sporting a big, red bow.
And so you have actual gifts to open...
