HAPPY CHRISTMAS, SHAI
While I think that people should take inventory of their lives more than just a couple times of the year, I find myself mulling over what I'm thankful for, especially when surrounded by friends and family. This past year has been a trying one for us, and while I firmly believe that is part of life and relationships, I also firmly believe that we've come out on the better end.

I think I say this every year, but I can't believe where we are with each other and our lives and what's to come. The fact that this will be the last Christmas just the two of us, okay three of us with Nieve, blows my mind even still. I feel so fucking lucky to have you and blessed by what we've created together. Thank you for all the joy you bring into my life, around the holidays and always. I'm forever thankful for you.

As you know, I've been spending a lot of time with my father working on something. The two of us... well, mostly him, but I helped some, built a crib for Bean that I wanted to give to you for Christmas. You do so much, and all the heavy lifting with this (literally), that I hoped to contribute something meaningful.

I love you, more than I could ever possibly put into words. Happy Christmas, mo stoirin.

P.S. That's not all. For New Year's Eve, I booked this AirBnB for us in Madeira, Spain from 30 December to 2 January. For some of the best fireworks in the world, we'll be cruising on one of these ships. There's much more to come while we're there, but I can't reveal all yet.
